Galla

It has been way too long since I last blogged! And I apologize! I have been pretty busy these days! Well, Pretty busy is an understatement!

This is going to be a short post, because there are going to be some hefty posts coming in the VERY short future! So keep your eyes peeled!

Galla weekend was a big weekend for me! I worked the weekend shift, which can get pretty cray... and it most certainly did! It was a really great weekend though! Lots of fun was had! Also, there were some pretty interesting decisions made during my 2 hours off on sabbath afternoon! Yep, I hacked my hair off.

Well, actually. Kylee hacked my hair off. With travel sized sewing scissors. A side note - she wasn't wearing her glasses either! So it was risky business!

The long locks BEFORE!

See what I mean about travel sized? Kylee spent about 10 minutes trying to hack through my ponytail! They were small and blunt little blades!

The final product! (And my sink!)

And again! The final product! A little bit styled and done up for Galla! Galla was that night!

Finally! What Galla is all about! The 3G students! These are the graduating students for this year!

Last but not least, I have an extra (rather unflattering) photo to share that tell the tail of two friends, put in a very awkward public scenario!

Meet Travis. Travis is a cool guy. I work with Travis. Travis is from the US and is heaps fun to work with. This is not one of the unflattering photos I mentioned above.

This one is.

Travis, Amec, Melissa and I were nominated for Best Student Missionary of the Year. It was an honour to be nominated, and a really nice compliment. Amec took the prize - and I must say, He is definitely deserving of it! Such a nice guy! SO, Congrats to Amec!

After the nominations were made, and Amec awarded, the 3G's invited the four of us up to play a lovely little game of pop the balloon in between your bodies. We were told we had to pop a balloon between these places - our tummies (awkward!), our hips (one for each hip), our bottoms (as poorly demonstrated above) and the grand finale! - By sitting on Travis's lap. Very awkward.

They teamed Amec with Melissa and Travis and me.
Travis and I definitely lost.

I think our bottoms were a little bit softer than the others, because we struggled to pop the balloon between out bottoms. I swear Amec and Melissa have buns of steel.
So Travis and I struggled - in front of the entire school and staff.
It was a really fun game, but rather awkward!
Hats off to Melissa and Amec for absolutely Whipping us!!!

So as you can see, Gala weekend was a little bit on the wild side! But it has definitely been one of the most rememberable weekends!
